The National Library of New Zealand has made 68 newspapers available online through its Papers Past website.
The digitised newspapers are from different regions of New Zealand and cover the period 1839 to 1945. You can browse by date, region or title. By selecting the advanced search option, it is possible to search one or more newspapers, between specific dates and for different types of article. As well as seeing the article clipped from the page which sometimes saves a lot of scanning, it can also be viewed on the page.
